The Cosmetic Surgery Center is a group practice with 3 other plastic surgeons working alongside Prof. Sayeed Ahmed Siddiky. The center is situated in a central location of  the capital city Dhaka. It is a 10-bed clinic duly licenced from the Ministry of Health. Prof. Siddiky started this clinic in 2002, and till date has been providing plastic surgery treatment to patients from Bangladesh and abroad. More than 70% of work in the Cosmetic Surgery Center is Aesthetic surgery while the remaining 30% consists of Reconstructive surgery. The total number of surgeries done annually is around 1000. Plus many nonsurgical procedures. 

The Cosmetic Surgery Center has consultation chambers, a reception/waiting area, 2 operation theatres, AC cabins with attached baths, an office room, a kitchen and a dining. Majority of the clinic's patients are day cases. But some stay admitted for a day or two.

For the last 8 years, Prof. Ahmed Siddiky has also been working in a multispeciality hospital (as chief consultant, Dept. of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery) called Bangladesh Specialised Hospital Ltd in Shyamoli. 

Prof. Siddiky has been conducting 6-month and 1-year Fellowship programs in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery for over 6 years. Now he can offer the ISAPS 3-month Fellowship Program. Additionally, he organises regular hands-on workshops on topics in Aesthetic Surgery such as Abdominoplasty,  Rhinoplasty, Reduction Mammoplasty and also on non-surgical procedures.

Fellows can expect the following as part of an ISAPS Fellowship experience with Prof. Siddiky:

  • 6 days a week, morning till evening exposure in all types of plastic surgical procedures (includes pre and postoperative consultations)
  • Main focus is on Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Fellows can assist in the surgeries.
  • Adequate exposure in Non-surgical procedures
  • Fellows can maximise their training from all the plastic surgeons in the group (can visit other hospital where they work half day)
  • Encouraged to write at least one (preferably 2) articles on Aesthetic Surgery. Will get guidance for one scientific presentation in our CME programs.

Accommodation

The fellow must enquire with the Fellowship Host on accommodation availability before the fellowship period. All guidance and help will be provided by the fellowship host.

Visa, work permit

Applicants must check visa requirements of the country they plan to visit before applying for the ISAPS Fellowship Program.

Licensure

Licensure is required. It is only with a valid license that you will be able to perform hands-on tasks throughout the fellowship.

Cosmetic Surgery Center

During a fellowship, the fellow can anticipate observing the following subjects and techniques:

  • Cleft Lip and Palate repair
  • Burn Contracture release/reconstruction

  • Micro needling
